With over 30 years of experience in the travel, education and events industry, Lissy Donald has been a pioneering figure in curriculum-based travel for the youth in the UAE. Driven by her passion for education and youth empowerment, she has led thousands of students on international field trips, using educational travel as a powerful tool for learning. Her interest in the latest developments led her into the field of space education, where she established Space And Rocketry Academy UAE (SARA UAE). Lissy Donald made the field of space education, often seen as a distant career option, accessible for every aspiring student.   

Her relentless efforts have earned her recognition from prestigious institutions like the Abu Dhabi Police, Ministry of Education – Abu Dhabi, UAE Space Agency and Sharjah Youth. Numerous prominent media channels have praised her work, with The National News referring to her as The Portrait of the Nation.

Expanding to new horizons, we have opened up opportunities for space education, by organising trips to attend various space programs across the globe as well as establishing our own Space And Rocketry Academy UAE. We also get students to engage in different challenge-based educational programs, through which they develop out-of-the-box thinking skills.

Students get to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of science and technology with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and space programs. The intricacies of global trade and economics become known to them through insightful Business/Economics trips. Students travel through time and space via captivating History/Geography adventures. On the other hand, they push their limits on thrilling Adventure/Sports trips; deepen their world knowledge with immersive Language/Culture programs; and discover their artistic spirit with Performance/Arts programs. 

Compass International also offers university campus visits that enable students to understand first-hand about their future career options and eligibility criteria. 

Under the visionary leadership of Lissy Donald, Compass International established the Emirates’ first Space And Rocketry Academy UAE (SARA UAE). This initiative has revolutionised space education in the Emirates, bringing astronauts, rover investigators, microbiologists and engineers to the UAE as well as organising various camps for space programs. The excellence achieved by SARA UAE led to its association with the UAE Space Agency.

At the space programs, participants learn about space, science, engineering and rocketry as part of their curriculum. They also design and build model rockets, work on missions and engineering challenges, and get career guidance from astronauts and other space professionals.

SARA UAE also has astronaut training simulators, which facilitate an immersive learning experience at school events.

We have partnerships and affiliations with renowned educational bodies that are globally active in STEAM and space education. It’s been a fulfilling journey for Compass International to have successfully created definitive learning outcomes for students across curriculums and nationalities. 

In 2010, Compass achieved a significant milestone in its international expansion when Travelon Worldwide Pvt. Ltd., an IATA accredited company based in India, became part of our organisation. This acquisition bolstered our network, resources and client base, enabling us to deliver top-tier travel management services.
